Fans of late John Okafor a.k.a Mr. Ibu have criticised his adopted daughter Jasmine Okafor, after she hijacked her father’s TikTok account shortly after his death.
Jasmine managed the account with 1.1 million followers while Mr. Ibu was still alive, but after he died on Saturday, she changed the account name to hers.
Blogger Tosin Silverdam accused Jasmine of personalising the late actor’s TikTok account. He also contrasted Jasmine Okafor’s own Tiktok account, which has over 1 million followers, questioning her motives for taking the actor’s lone page and erasing all of his videos.
Meanwhile, fellow actors are still pouring out their hearts over the death of the comic actor on Saturday .
Close pal Charles Inojie wrote: “Rest in peace, king. Yes, you can have it all now, that which eluded you the most. When it mattered the most…PEACE…The peace of mind to recuperate peacefully was a favour too expensive to oblige you. Now, it’s all yours, bro. Revel in heavenly peace, infinitum. Rest… Rest… Rest in PEACE.”
Victor Osuagwu  and Charles Awurum, who appeared in many moves along side Mr. Ibu also let the world know their sorrow.
Osuagwu said: “The Nollywood industry was thrown into sadness. It was a rude shock, a very big shock to lose one of us, a brother, a colleague, and one of the giants in the comedy world. The entertainment world has lost somebody.
“There are people that will always beat their chest that Ibu, in the course of his enterprise, healed them. He brought laughter, happiness, and healing to so many homes.”
Awurum : “It was not a good day at all. The news was very bad one. Immediately we heart it, we were weak, we could not shoot any longer because we were in a location in Ghana.
“And today, we had to excuse ourselves from the location because there is no way our brother will go like that and we’ll be on set shooting. It was not easy for us.
“I came into the industry before Ibu but as time went on, I started looking up to him. He had so much to offer. We really lost somebody.
“It is not easy. Ibu was a great man. A brother. He was somebody you would want to be with anytime and anywhere. He was somebody you would learn so much from.
“I wish everyone will contribute in prayers for him and his family.”
