Super Eagles and Napoli top striker, Victor Osimhen may end up in Manchester United in the summer, a top Italian football agent Roberto de Fanti has predicted.
He said United despite having Ramus Hojlund are desperate for a number nine and have identified Osimhen as the man to fill the void at Old Trafford. Osimhen is reported to be on his way out Napoli at the end of season and has been linked to Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
But according to Fanti: “The truth is that United, above all, are looking for a centre-forward,” he said.
“Hojlund is doing reasonably well, but their new classic ‘number nine’ could be Osimhen.”
According to reports United owner Jim Ratcliffe is interested in signing a more experienced number nine to compete with the talented 21-year-old and it’s claimed that Osimhen is at the top of his shortlist.
Osimhen is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world on his day and at the age of 25, still has time to get even better than he already is. He scored a fantastic 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances last season, firing Napoli to their first league title since 1990.
He has continued his scoring form this term, netting 11 times in 17 league appearances so far.
