A hunter who was going about looking for his daily kill has led the police to rescue three kidnapped female victims in Delta State.
The three ladies were kidnapped on their way to the hospital for medical care and the kidnappers demanded for a ransom of N15m for their release before the hunter who had gone into the forest in Egbudu-Akah community, Aniocha South LGA
Acting on the hunter’s information the police and vigilante group mobilized and moved into the forest to confront the kidnappers.
“In the process of the exchange of fire with the team of officers in a bid to escape, one suspected kidnapper was arrested and three kidnapped female victims were rescued,” said Delta Police Spokesperson Bright Edafe.
“Upon search of the scene, three cutlasses, two TECNO phones, a solar panel, a power bank, charms, two torchlights and some other food items were discovered, ” he said.
He added that the suspect and exhibits have been transferred to SCIID for further investigations.
