Zazau singer Habeeb Okikiola Oyegbile a.k.a Portable said his number one aim in entertainment was to capture a Grammy Award.
Portable, who was speaking during an interview Timi Agbaje said winning the internationally recognised award will make him feel fulfilled in music.
“My ultimate goal in the music industry is to win a Grammy. I will only feel accomplished if I win a Grammy. I want to win the African category.
“I want to win an international award because our local awards are compromised.”
He argued that he sang better than most of contemporaries in the Afrobeats scene: I sing better than most of my colleagues. A lot of them use autotune.
“They can’t perform with a live band or sing good music. They can’t make conscious music.”
