Claims by supporters of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he has won the endorsement of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo for next year’s election has been debunked.
The APC flag bearer amidst funfair had stormed the residence of the former President in Abeokuta, Ogun State last Wednesday and both men had a closed door meeting. The details were not disclosed, but supports of Tinubu went to town saying that they have won Obasanjo’s approval.
But a statement released by Obasanjo on Saturday said: “Those claiming to be insiders at the meeting issuing statement on the discussion and those crediting to me statement I had not made are enemies of the visitor and are not doing the visit any good.”
