Police quiz Davido’s domestic staff after son drowns in swimming pool
The Police in Lagos has invited nine domestic staff of music star David Adeleke a.k.a Davido for questioning after his three years old son Ifeanyi got drown in a swimming pool.
The incident happened on Monday night at Davido’s home in Banana Island, Ikoyi Lagos. Davido and the mother of the child Chioma Rowland were not at home when the death occured.
Davido who was planning a lavish 30th birthday for himself and Chioma have been devastated by the sad news. They have reported to have retreated to Davido’s father’s house in Lekki were they remain inconsolable. The family is yet to make an official statement concerning the incident.
Lagos State Police Command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.
“If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest.”
The toddler was reported to have been rushed to an hospital in Lekki after he was found in the pool.
